Children under 12 years of age need to dilute Miramistin with saline solution in a ratio of 1 to 2. The duration of inhalation is no more than 5 minutes, otherwise you can burn the mucous membranes.
Regardless of the patient’s age, the number of inhalations should not be more than 3 per day, since too frequent use of Miramistin can scorch the mucous membrane. Inhalations with Miramistin for a child: how to do it?
Before pouring Miramistin into the nebulizer, children should be sure to dilute it with saline (the instructions for most devices prohibit diluting medications with water, even mineral water) in the following proportion:
- 1:3 for children from 1 to 3 years old;
- 1:2 for preschoolers;
- 1:1 for children from 7 to 14 years old.
How many times a day the procedures are performed is also determined by the age of the patient.
So, the youngest are allowed a maximum of 3-4 sessions, preschoolers - 5, and older children and teenagers - 5-6.

It is not recommended to eat or drink for two hours after the procedure.
For greater treatment effect, Miramistin inhalations should be part of a therapeutic complex and alternate with taking other medications and physical procedures, which are prescribed only by the attending physician. Compliance with a therapeutic diet is mandatory.
Instructions for use by adults
Using Miramistin for inhalation is not at all difficult, you need to:
- Purchase a 0.01% solution of the drug at any pharmacy.
- Warm it to room temperature.
- Pour the solution into the nebulizer container (4 ml of medicine is enough for one procedure).
- Turn on the device and breathe through a mask or special nasal cannulas.
