The drug is effective against most pathogens of ENT infections, both gram-positive and gram-negative. Most doctors prefer to prescribe Ingalipt: the throat spray is highly effective, well tolerated by patients and causes almost no adverse reactions.

Mode of application

Using Ingalipt for the throat is not at all difficult.

Follow a simple algorithm:

  1. Carry out the procedure after eating.
  2. Rinse your throat with warm boiled water or a soda solution: this will help get rid of mucus accumulated in the oropharynx.
  3. Inhale and hold your breath for a few seconds.
  4. Place the tip of the sprayer in the oral cavity and make 2-3 presses, directing it to the right and left parts of the pharynx.
  5. Remove the nebulizer and take a deep breath.
  6. Do not eat or drink anything for 1-2 hours after the procedure.

In the first days of illness, when inflammation is especially severe, irrigate your throat up to four times a day. The course of treatment is 5-7 days.

During pregnancy, the use of the drug is possible, but only after examination by a doctor (see How to treat a sore throat during pregnancy at different stages). The specialist must make sure that your condition does not cause concern, and the infection will not have a negative impact on the course of pregnancy and the condition of the fetus.

Inhalipt is one of the drugs that is allowed during pregnancy

The product can be used during pregnancy either alone or in combination with other drugs and folk remedies prepared by yourself.

Note! Do not exceed the dosage recommended by your doctor.

The drug can be used to treat infections of the ENT organs in children over three years of age (see How to choose a spray for the throat). During the procedure, explain to the baby that he must hold his breath while irrigating the oropharynx. The duration and course of treatment is determined by the attending physician individually in each case.

Pediatricians often prescribe Ingalipt to their young patients

Throat Ingalipt is a safe, inexpensive and effective treatment for throat infections in children and adults. Thanks to its complex composition, it actively fights microbes and eliminates pathogens.

Directions for use and dosage

Inhalipt spray or aerosol is used to irrigate the mucous membranes of the oropharynx. Adult patients and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 1-2 sprays of the product into the inflammation site 3-4 times a day. The duration of the course of drug therapy is 5-7 days; if during this period the patient does not experience any improvement, then you should consult a doctor to clarify the diagnosis and the adequacy of the prescribed treatment.

Before using the aerosol, shake the can well, put on a special spray bottle and irrigate the mucous membranes. When spraying the drug, breathe through your nose, not your mouth, to prevent sudden inhalation of the drug and the development of bronchospasm.

After using the aerosol, the sprayer must be removed and thoroughly rinsed under running water.

Instructions for use for children and adults

A sore throat, swelling and dry cough are unpleasant symptoms of the disease. For treatment, doctors often prescribe sprays for pharyngitis. They contain antiseptic and anti-inflammatory components that help reduce pain and eliminate the inflammatory process.

For pharyngitis, sprays have a number of advantages over other dosage forms. one of them is that the substance is supplied directly to the site of inflammation. This means that the drug acts immediately after contact with the painful area. The spray may contain an antibiotic, anesthetic and antiseptic components.

Other benefits of the drugs include:

  • local anesthetic and enveloping effect;
  • stopping the spread of bacteria and the inflammatory process;
  • providing a mucolytic effect.

Due to irrigation, the medicine gets to the right place. In this case, the medication is not absorbed into the tissues and does not penetrate the bloodstream.

Sprays are used in the following cases:

  1. For bacterial pharyngitis. In this case, you will need a spray with an antibacterial effect.
  2. For sore throat.
  3. During the inflammatory process.
  4. To thin and remove mucus from the throat.

Doctors usually prescribe complex treatment for pharyngitis, where each drug has its own effect. Tablets affect the entire body, while sprays have a local effect. If we compare sprays with lozenges, the former are gentle on the body, without being absorbed into the tissues and without penetrating into the bloodstream.

Is there a difference in the treatment of acute and chronic pharyngitis?

Acute and chronic pharyngitis differ in their course. If the acute phase is characterized by bright and pronounced symptoms, then with chronic pharyngitis the symptoms are usually erased, and the disease manifests itself with frequent relapses and periods of calm.

There are no differences in the treatment of acute and chronic forms of pharyngitis with sprays. The dosage and number of uses per day are indicated in the instructions for the product.

Special children's sprays are selected for children. They are allowed from 3-4 years old. Most often, the child is prescribed the following medications:

  1. Tantum Verde. The drug quickly and effectively relieves inflammation in a child’s throat. The active substance of the spray reduces pain, has a calming effect and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Due to the absence of side effects, the medicine is approved from 3 years of age.
  2. TeraFlu Lar. The medicine has a sedative and antimicrobial effect. The drug can be used when influenza, parainfluenza and herpes viruses are active. The spray is allowed for children from 4 years of age.
  3. Cameton. The product contains plant components, which increases local immunity. In addition, the drug relieves inflammation and has an antiseptic effect. Kameton is approved for children from 5 years of age. The indication may be infectious pharyngitis.

All sprays for children are allowed to be sprayed into the throat several times a day.

Usually the doctor selects the spray based on the degree of development of pharyngitis, its intensity and cause. It is also necessary to first identify what caused the development of the disease - viruses, fungi or bacteria.

The appointment should be made by a doctor after examining the patient’s throat and pharyngoscopy. Sometimes a throat swab test may be needed to identify the causative agent of the disease.

Among the proven remedies that can have a complex effect on a sore throat are Lugol and Ingalipt.

There are also aerosols that perform various tasks for pharyngitis, for example, they have an antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effect. Among them are Kameton, Hexoral, Yox, Tantum Verde, Teraflu lar and others.

It is desirable that the spray contains plant components, as they stimulate the immune system and force the body to independently resist the disease.

  • Inhalipt;
  • Hexoral;
  • Yox;
  • Kameton;
  • Theraflu lar;
  • Tantum verde.

All sprays for pharyngitis have a minimum of side effects and contraindications.

Among them are individual intolerance to the components of the spray, pregnancy and lactation. Although only certain types of drugs may be contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women, mainly those that contain an antibiotic.

In any case, the drug can be used only after consulting a doctor.

The spray can be used for tonsillitis in children from 3 years of age and in adults. It should be used 3-4 times a day for 10 days.

Before use, it is better to warm the medicine to room temperature so that all components from the composition are activated.

Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Studies regarding the safety of the drug's effects on the fetus during pregnancy have not been conducted. The drug Ingalipt is not recommended for use in women who are preparing to become mothers. Since the medicine contains ethyl alcohol, the use of Ingalipt during pregnancy by a woman can lead to negative consequences on the nervous system of the fetus.

It is unknown whether the drug passes into breast milk and how it can affect the baby’s body, so using the spray during breastfeeding is not advisable. If treatment with the drug is necessary, a woman should consider stopping lactation so as not to harm the baby.

Side effects

As a rule, the drug Ingalipt is well tolerated by patients, but in some cases, the following side effects may develop during its use:

  • Burning and itching in the throat after the medicine gets on the mucous membranes;
  • Development of bronchospasm;
  • Reduced sensitivity of mucous membranes (this effect is due to the effect of essential oils included in the drug and does not require discontinuation of treatment with the drug);
  • Quincke's edema;
  • Hives on the skin;
  • Dry mouth;
  • Allergic skin rashes.

Inhalipt spray: instructions for use

Ingalipt is a drug for local use - irrigation of the nasopharynx and oral cavity.

For adult patients, treatment is carried out for 5-7 seconds 4 times a day. For a child, irrigation is performed for 1-2 seconds 3 times a day.

The duration of the course of treatment is 7-10 days. Longer use of the drug is possible after consultation with the attending physician, depending on the severity of the patient’s condition and the presence of pain in the throat area.

Before using Ingalipt spray, you should familiarize yourself with doctors' recommendations for its use:

  • rinse your mouth with warm water;
  • If possible, plaque from the mucous membrane should be removed using a cotton pad;
  • place the spray nozzle on the valve stem;
  • keep the bottle in a vertical position upside down;
  • insert the spray tube into the oral cavity and direct it to the treatment site;
  • injection of the drug is carried out for 2-7 seconds depending on the age of the patient;
  • After using the spray, do not consume food or liquid for 30 minutes.

Ingalipt spray for children does not exist as a separate form of medicine.

According to doctors, the use of the drug before the age of three is not recommended due to the peculiarities of the child’s body and the high sensitivity of the laryngeal mucosa to the action of the drug components.

After 3 years, the drug is prescribed in a dosage of 1-2 injections twice a day. The duration of treatment is 5 days.

For the treatment of infectious diseases of the upper respiratory tract in children under one year of age, the drug is used only as prescribed by the attending physician. For a child under one year old, the drug is sprayed onto a pacifier or onto the mucous surface of the cheek.

According to parents' reviews, the use of Ingalipt spray for an infant may be difficult due to the strong menthol taste that the medicine has. If the child calmly reacts to the taste of the medicine, then its use will not be difficult in any way, although currently pharmacies can offer a large selection of medicines that have a neutral taste and smell.

In addition, a child up to a year after using the drug may experience a burning sensation in the esophagus and nausea, which go away on their own and do not require symptomatic treatment.

Sulfonamides included in the drug have a systemic effect on the body of a small child. This is very important, since viral infections at this age develop rapidly and can cause complications.

According to the instructions, Ingalipt spray can be used to treat inflammatory diseases of the nasopharynx during pregnancy only as prescribed by the attending physician.

The active ingredients of the drug are well tolerated by patients, but may have a negative effect on the fetus.

During the treatment period, it is better to stop breastfeeding, since the components of Ingalipt, entering the blood, can penetrate into breast milk and affect the baby’s health.

special instructions

After irrigating the mucous membranes of the oropharynx, the patient should refrain from taking liquids or other medications for 30-40 minutes, otherwise the therapeutic effect of the drug will be significantly reduced.

The absorption of the drug into the general bloodstream is not significant, however, since Inhalipt contains ethyl alcohol, during aerosol therapy you should refrain from driving a car or operating complex mechanisms that require increased concentration.

This medicine should not be used to treat children under 12 years of age due to the ethyl alcohol content in the medicine.

Patients with diabetes should be very careful when using Ingalipt, since the medicine contains sugar.

Method and features of application

The Ingalipt product is contained in a special bottle, which has an additional device in the form of a spray tip. Thanks to it, the product comes out. The person must press the mechanism. The developers also created a convenient handset. With its help, the medicine is well distributed over the pituitary surface of the throat.

To use the product, it is recommended to shake the bottle, then press the top of the spray device and irrigate the painful areas of tissue. One procedure consists of several clicks. It is recommended to leave the medicine in the mouth for 5 minutes. Such manipulations should be performed up to 4 times a day.

The course should not exceed 10 days. As for children, only an expert can make an appointment. There is no product specifically designed for minors. Therefore, it must be used with care. Basically, 3 procedures per day are enough for a child. In this case, irrigation should continue 1 s less than for an adult.

After each manipulation, the device must be washed with water. Children are allowed to administer the pharmaceutical product from 3 years of age. However, such a ban is a kind of formality, since it applies to all similar forms of medicinal products. More detailed advice can be obtained at an appointment with a doctor. The manufacturers who developed the drug and compiled instructions for it do not stipulate the conditions for use of the product by children.

Thus, expert intervention will be required. Only he, based on medical tests, the clinical picture of the disease, and the study of a person’s individual characteristics, will establish the correct diagnosis and prescribe the optimal dosage of the aerosol. Most experts believe that this drug is not the best option for treating minors.

Therefore, doctors most often try to avoid prescribing it. It is better for the baby's parents to purchase an analogue. There are many different antiseptic pharmaceutical products in pharmacies that can replace the product. Before using the substance, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. After irrigating the mucous membrane with the medicine, eating is not allowed for half an hour.

Analogues of Ingalipt spray

  • Lisobakt lozenges;
  • Septefril lozenges;
  • Givalex spray;

  • Proposol aerosol;

Before replacing the Ingalipt prescribed to you with one of the indicated analogues, you should consult your doctor, since all medications have certain age restrictions and indications.
